MIET Engineering College, Trichy in association with Banyan Technology Solutions (BTS), Chennai hosted the J2EE Soft Edge program. Students from Pre-final year CSE department participated in this ten days Soft Edge programme. The launch of the program was featured in the regional dailies of Trichy with photos.

During the first eight days, they were given intensive training on J2EE & the remaining two days were spent on project development. Students after undergone training on J2EE , they completed their project work on time and presented them in an extremely professional manner.

A session on Soft skills is also conducted in this Soft Edge programme, which hones various aspects of a student critical to a successful career and makes them feel confident to face interviews and to work effectively in a team.

At the end of the Soft Edge programme, a valedictory function was held during which certificates & materials were presented to each of the students. During the function, Dr.Sambasivam, Director of the college appreciated the efforts taken by Banyan Technology Solutions for having provided an excellent training on J2EE to their students . He also commented that, he hasn’t seen such a programme fully packed with all components required for moulding a student and making them industry ready which will help them to get better placement in IT companies.

He also informed their students that it is better to do their final semester projects in their campus under the guidance of BTS team so that their Head of the departments also can monitor them while doing their projects.

During the end of valedictory function, Prof.A.N.Gnana Jeevan, Head of the Dept- IT thanked Mr.H.Meeran Mohideen,Director –Banyan Technology Solutions for providing this J2EE Soft Edge programme to their students and he also appreciated their students for their interest taken in order to learn this J2EE technology to get into IT industry.
